Are Tweezers in Your Makeup Kit?
Similar to the gobs of uses for duct tape, tweezers are a tiny tool that has a multitude of uses. As an esthetician, I use tweezers every single day on clients, not only for hair removal, but for aiding me in other processes too. For being so small and simple, some days my tweezers are my best friends.
Many people ask if they should have separate tweezers for different tasks. For example, one set for first aid uses and one set for beautification purposes. It is totally up to you what you like to carry in your first aid kit and what you like to carry in your makeup bag. If you do only want to have one pair, cleanse them the proper way after each separate use. You obviously don’t have to clean them after tweezing your brows if you’re just going to do it again tomorrow, but if you’re digging a splinter out of your skin and the tweezers touch blood, they should be disinfected properly.
The good news about tweezers is that they are not porous! Which means you can boil them! Boling the tweezers in water will kill any bacteria on them. After they are boiled, you can spray them with an isopropyl alcohol, leaving you with a clean implement.
It’s always good to have a couple different pairs of tweezers around the house, because they always seem to go missing when I need them the most (at least mine do.)
What are some of your favorite uses for tweezers? (Beauty or otherwise!!)
