Should You Switch Moisturizers As The Weather Cools?
As the temperature begins to drop, moisturize become in very high demand. Depending on your skin type, you may not need to switch moisturizers.
If you have oily skin and are using a very light moisturizer, you most likely don’t need to switch your moisturizer since your skin is already producing enough oil to keep it hydrated. If you have very dry skin that worsens in the winter, try a cream moisturizer. Most people that use moisturizers for dry skin, will generally switch to a cream in the winter, not only because it’s thicker, but it makes you feel like there is more of a protective barrier to your skin.
Most products that come in a regular moisturizer consistency and also in a cream form, have the same ingredients, the cream is just heavier and like mentioned before, will give the feeling of a thicker barrier on the skin. It is not necessary to switch moisturizers in the cooler months, just be sure to use them regularly.

Yes, I hate these cooler months with the dry skin. I haven’t found a good moisturizer yet, but am still looking.
