Should You Rinse Your Hair in Cold Water?
Although finishing a nice warm shower with a spritz of cold water doesn’t sound refreshing, your hair will love it! The cold water will close the cuticle of your hair (kind of like what it does to your pores). This will leave your hair frizz free and full of shine.
The hair is made of three different layers; Cortex, medulla and cuticle. The cuticle is the outermost layer and when looked at under a microscope, can look like a Christmas tree. Frizz comes into place when the cuticle is open or spread out. Sleek soft hair has a flat or closed cuticle. That last five second splash of cold water may be a trick for you to try to tame that cuticle.
The water doesn’t have to be as cold as the Artic Ocean, but just cool enough where you can still handle being under it. After your hair gets a chance to cool off, place your face under the water to close your pores up too!

I love my hot showers too much but might try it under the sink.
I started doing this during last year, I think I can tell the difference!
