How to Rid Yourself of Greasy Hair
The “Greaser Era” of hair is over, so why should have to suffer with the burden of greasy hair? Naturally, our scalp and hair produce oils to keep it healthy, but sometimes it feels like it all accumulates within ten minutes of washing it. Here are some remedies to help you not feel like you belong in the 50’s.
- Wash your hair every other day. The oils are supposed to be there, this means your oil glands are working to keep your hair healthy. If your hair gets decently oily, carry around some dry shampoo or my personal favorite; baby powder
- Be sure to fully rinse out the conditioner. Condition your hair every day, but every other day only condition the ends of your hair. This way your ends are always nourished and your hair want get too much moisture near the roots.
- Use products designed for your hair type. Some products may be too harsh for your hair. Consult with your hair stylist and she can aid you in choosing what’s best for you
- Avoid applying products too close to the roots unless designed to go there (root boosters). Serums, oils and leave in conditioners should be left at the ends.
- Experiment with different products, there’s only a million to choose from!
