Monday Funday! Polka Dot Nails!

Okay, so not many of us consider Monday a “funday.” Usually, it’s quite the opposite. What’s an easy beauty tip to brighten up your week? Well, by brightening up your nails, of course! Julie and Jadyn, part of our Beauty Junkees family, did this look last week, and it was too cute not to share!

Take some time for yourself this evening and give yourself this polka dot manicure. It’s quick , easy, and will hopefully have you smiling for the rest of your week! Here’s how to get Jadyn’s look!

1. Pick two fun colors to use.

2. Apply the base coat to the nails, alternating colors every other nail. (If the colors you have chosen stay true to their pigment when only one coat is applied, you don’t need to apply a second coat. If a second coat is needed, make sure you wait until the first coat is completely dry before applying the second.)

3. Use a ball point pen to apply the opposite colored polka dots to the nails. We used a paper plate and spilled some of each color onto a paper plate to dip the pen in, but you can dip it directly into the bottle if you’re careful. (You don’t want a nail polish soaked pen!)

4. After you’ve applied the first color of polka dots, remove any nail polish from the pen with a cotton pad and nail polish remover.

5. Apply the second color of polka dots to the remaining nails and let dry completely.

6. Use a clear coat to seal in the look (or a clear sparkle coat like Jadyn did, for a little extra glam!)
