How To Store Makeup

Whether it’s foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara or lip gloss, it still needs to be stored in a place where it won’t get wet and over heated.  Storing makeup in a clean, closed container will improve the shelf life and quality of the makeup.

Makeup should not be stored in the bathroom. The bathroom is known as the “humid room”. Bathrooms have the most moisture than any other room in a house. Makeup is small easy to transport, so it’s easy to put them away in a storage bin. Makeup bins can be small and simple or something as complex as a caboodle. As long as the makeup is put away and is not in a place where it can be damaged by moisture or heat, it will not get damaged

Makeup brushes also need to be stored properly. Many companies sell make up kits with a makeup brush case. Brushes should be stored in this case to protect the brush from dust and bacteria.

Both products and tools need to be stored in a dry, closed container. Bacteria cannot get to makeup or brushes when not exposed.
