Why Try the Loose Glitter Makeup Kits?
The best reason to try out these kits is that they are so extremely versatile. Instead of getting a glitter-infused lipstick, a glittery highlighter, and some glitter eye shadows, you can have it all in just one product. Layer this loose glitter over your lipstick or eye shadow. Use on its own for highlight or eye shadow. Put it in your body lotion for an all-over glittery glow. The uses are absolutely endless, and that’s why these kits are perfect.
Not to mention, you get the glue and the brush you need included, so no more worrying that you’ll never get the glitter out of your regular eye shadow or lip brushes. These glitters are safe to wear on the eyes and lips, unlike some body glitters that are not made for using on the face.
How to Use the Glitter Makeup Kit
When you open the container of loose glitter, you’ll see a sifter inside, similar to a loose setting powder. You can tap some of the glitter into the lid, or secure the lid, turn the glitter over to get some out through the sifter, then turn it back over and remove the lid.
Use the applicator of the glitter glue to apply the glue to the area you plan to put the glitter. This is a necessity, because glitter will fall all over your face without it. By the end of the day, your eyes will be bare, but you’ll have glitter all over your nose and cheeks!
Give the glue about 30 seconds to become tacky but not quite dry, and then use the small kabuki brush to pick up glitter from the lid or inside the container. Pat the glitter on the area where the glue is, pressing the bristles into the skin rather than trying to swipe or blend. Pick the brush up and move over to apply more glitter across a larger area – never swipe or blend with loose glitter. The goal is to get it to stick to the glue.
To remove the loose glitter from your face, saturate a cotton pad in makeup remover, and press it into the area where the glitter is. Then use a small circular motion to begin wiping the glitter away. Be sure to wash your face well to remove any fall out after this process.
Ideas and Tips for Transforming Other Makeup with Loose Glitter
Loose glitter on its own is lots of fun, but there are many ways you can use it to transform other makeup products.
If you use glitter over a liquid or satin lipstick, you don’t have to use glitter glue – just pat the glitter on with your finger before the lipstick dries.
You can use the glitter with nail polish by mixing a small amount of glitter into the bottle, or just sprinkling some glitter over your nearly-dry nails.
Try placing some glitter into just the inner corner of the eye on top of your highlight, or to just under the lower lash line, for some added shine.
Consider sprinkling some loose glitter into your hair for a fun party look, or add some glitter to your finishing spray to give your whole face a glittery shine. Hair gel is a great way to make glitter stick to hair; try using a clean mascara spoolie to run some hair gel through your brows, then pat some glitter into the brows for a fun look. Another way to get loose glitter to stick if you prefer something less sticky than glue is to use hand sanitizer on body areas like arms or shoulders where you plan to put glitter.
