How To Brush Wet or Dry Hair
For Wet Hair
1. With your fingers, pull through a conditioner to make your hair “slippery.”
2. Grab the first section of hair you are going to work through.
3. Begin at the ENDS of your hair. Starting at the roots could cause your hair to become more tangled. Start a couple inches from the bottom and pull the brush through (you don’t have to tear it through—the brush will do the work for you).
4. If you come across a nasty tangle, take your time! Rushing through brushing is the number one cause of breakage!
5. Repeat the process moving the brush up a couple inches each time until you have reached the root and can pull the brush from root to end smoothly.
6. Move onto the next section and repeat until the entire head is brushed.
For Dry Hair
Dry hair is actually stronger than wet hair, but without a product to make it “slippery,” brushing out tangles can seem more difficult.
1. If your hair is especially knotted it’s best to work in small sections at a time.
2. Take the first section and begin at the ENDS of your hair. Starting at the roots could cause your hair to become more tangled. Start a couple inches from the bottom and pull the brush through (you don’t have to tear it through—the brush will do the work for you).
