Fall 2013 Lipstick Color Trends

Lips don’t always have to be bright red to look elegant and trendy. As we transition to fall, our makeup should follow. Not everyone can keep up on different makeup for every single season, but having a few different color choices should be something every woman has. As the season changes, it’s not bad if we do too; After all, there’s no better way to kick start the season with luscious, trendy lips.

Whether you’re going bold or nude this fall 2013, we have the perfect shades for you to try that will top off your look. One new color trend for lip color is a black cherry. This lip color trend is so dark and bold, we’ve even seen it borderline black. Any lip color along those lines would be of course the black cherry, plum and maroon shades of lipstick. When wearing these shades, it’s important to add some warmth to your face to avoid the “vampire” look. Dust on some bronzer or apply a gold shadow to your eyes to warm up the darkness.

If you’re on the other side of the color spectrum and love nude lips, a “matte nude” is a new touch to just the nude lip. Nude colors can be purchased at the store, or you can personalize your lip color by applying a small amount of concealer to your lips, dab away any access and apply desired lip color, this will lighten your lipstick but not too much to where you look like nothing is on (try to avoid any high shine lipsticks.)
