Eyebrow Maintenance: Waxing, Threading, and Tweezing
Eyebrows maintenance is important to give the face a groomed look. It’s best to choose a method of hair removal and stick to that method. Waxing, threading, and tweezing are the most common methods of hair removal. Eyebrows need to be groomed every three to four weeks depending on how quick the hair grows.
Waxing can be done either at home or at a salon by a professional. Waxing is performed with either soft wax (strip wax) or hard wax (strip-less wax). Waxing is quick and easy weather the brows need a new shape or just a clean up.
Threading is usually done at a salon. Not many people can pick up the skill of threading at home. Threading involves the technique of sewing thread that is twisted and pulled against the skin, grabbing any stray hairs. Although threading may take longer, it is just as effective as waxing, and about the same price.
Tweezing is the most common home method of hair removal, it’s quick and easy to do every morning. Tweezing involves a metal tool that is used to pull out individual hairs. Although this is probably the cheapest method, some people would rather have their brows waxed because it’s so quick. It’s important to not tweeze in between waxes. This could cause the hair to grow different lengths, making it difficult for removal.
