pro Detailer Makeup Brush
Even a short decade ago, the idea of doing a fully contoured face every day was nearly unheard of. People often looked at red-carpet-ready celebrities and wondered how they were blessed with such gorgeous cheekbones, or such chiseled jaw lines – never knowing that it was the makeup doing all the work. These days, thanks to stars like Kim Kardashian-West and beauty gurus on YouTube, nearly everyone knows about the powers of contouring. But did you know that the tools you use are just as important for achieving the look?
The pro Detailer Makeup Brush is the ideal blending brush for contouring the nose, lips, and eye. You can highlight your brow bone to make your eyes look larger, give your nose a slimmer profile with contour, define your lips with very precise lines, and take your “full beat face” to a whole new level. Here’s what you need to know about this must-have blending brush.

What Is the pro Detailer Makeup Brush?
This is a tapered blending brush with long, fluffy bristles that are meant to diffuse product for a flawless finish. The very small, tapered shape allows you to get product in precise areas, despite the fact that the bristles are so fluffy. That’s what makes this brush the detailer, and it’s a must for anyone that wants to sculpt their favorite looks. The brush is made with a solid wood handle, synthetic bristles that work well with any type of product, and a double-crimped copper ferrule to keep the bristles in place.
Why Do You Need the pro Detailer Makeup Brush?
If you love eye shadow, using highlighter to accentuate your brow bone, cupid’s bow, or inner eye corner, or placing concealer in tight areas around the eye, this brush is for you. The multi-tasking nature of this brush makes it perfect for a smart collection of brushes that do it all. The brush is made of excellent quality materials, with bristles that don’t shed and are extremely soft for working in delicate areas like the eyes. You can use this with cream, powder, or mineral makeup, and the synthetic bristles are vegan and cruelty free.

Buyer’s Guide to Brushes
There are two main things that you should keep in mind when choosing brushes for your makeup kit, especially if they’ll be used near your eye.
First, they should be soft, not rough or scratchy. Because the pro Detailer is made with synthetic bristles rather than natural fibers, it is extremely soft and gentle on the skin.
Second, the fibers should be strong enough that they won’t break or fall out on your skin when you use them. By using a double-crimped ferrule (the metal part that connects the bristles to the wooden handle), this brush is designed to avoid shedding so you get a streak-free finish.
Expert Tips on Using Your pro Detailer Makeup Brush
If you plan to use the pro Detailer brush for your nose contouring, it couldn’t be any simpler. Using a very light hand, draw a light line along both sides of the nose with the tip of the brush, starting at the inner eye or eyebrow area, and continuing all the way down to the nostril. Blend these lines with small circular motions, moving up and down the nose at the same time to get rid of the line and create a subtle shadow. This will make your nose look slimmer. If you want your nose to look shorter, place a bit of contour on the tip of the nose, as if you were connecting the two lines you just drew, and blend the tip of the nose with circular motions.
To make your lips look fuller, add a small amount of contour just beneath the lower lip and blend in a back and forth motion.
If you want to make your eyes stand out more, use your contour shade on the tip of this brush to draw a line along the crease of your eye, and to define the outer V. Then use a very small circular motion as you go back and forth along the crease, and a small circular motion on the outer V, to blend this powder to a smooth finish.
You can also use the tip of the brush to place a spot of highlight in the inner corner, or to apply a spot of highlighter to the cupid’s bow. Use the brush to paint and blend out concealer to the inner eye area, or use it to swipe on highlighter along the brow bone.

Caring for the pro Detailer Makeup Brush
Caring for the pro Detailer brush is easy, and will keep the brush sanitary for future use. About once a week, you should do a full clean. Wet the bristles with room-temperature water, and then hold it upside down over the palm of your hand. Put a drop of mild hand soap or makeup brush cleaner in your palm, and then lower the bristles into the soap and “blend” the soap with small circular motions, massaging the bristles into the soap.
Rinse the bristles again, squeezing out the soap till the water runs clear. Then squeeze out the moisture, and allow the brush to dry lying flat, with the head resting off the edge of the counter. This allows the bristles to dry in the correct shape, and prevents water from getting into the ferrule where it could weaken the glue.
After each use, you can spray the brush with a makeup remover or makeup brush cleaning spray, to keep the brush’s surface clean till you do the next deep clean. Be sure to store the brush upright when dry, or lying flat so that the bristles maintain their shape.
