10 Things I Didnt Know About Sunscreen

With summertime officially here, be sure to get your sunscreen out.  This article enlightened me, so maybe you can find something helpful in here too:

1. There is a product that you can add to your laundry that will create a protective coating on your cloths which will block 96% of the sun’s rays from permeating the fabric

2. You need to add more sunscreen if you are drinking alcohol or fruit drinks (or fruity alcohol)…

3. Chocolate can help with your natural sun protection

4. You need to use a shot glass amount of sunscreen to be considered proper coverage.

5. Don’t believe in waterproof sunscreen.

6. A UV monitoring wristband can let you know when you need to reapply sunscreen

7. There’s controversy on whether some of the ingredients in sunscreen actually y cause cancer – what??

8. Be sure to put sunscreen everywhere – like in between toes (one of the most places melanoma is detected).

9. Do not leave sunscreen in your hot car.

10. Wear sunglasses, as you can’t put sunscreen on your eyeballs.
